The business rules behind it

A price list is easy. The hard part is the rules a real bakery runs on, which most website builders can't express:

• Guest count suggests the smallest cake that serves everyone
• Each tier can be a different flavor, priced by its servings
• Lead time grows with tiers, fondant, gluten-free baking, sugar flowers, and custom toppers
• Rush orders up to two days early, with a fee, for simple single-tier cakes only
• Closed days and holidays can't be picked
• Seasonal fillings only on dates when they're available
• Cakes with three or more tiers must be delivered and set up
• Delivery priced by distance, with a maximum range
• Deposit and balance due date calculated from the event date
